Sanjay's professional career began by advising energy companies on strategy and information technology issues. In 2002 he began his financial advisory and wealth management practice with Prudential Financial. During his tenure at Prudential, Sanjay created the Strategic Wealth Group. One year later, in 2010, Sanjay opened the doors of Strategic Wealth Group as an independent financial wealth management firm with particular expertise in retirement planning.
Sanjay supports several community charities and not-for-profit organizations. Sanjay has been married to his wife, Arti, since 1999. In 2008 they welcomed their first child, a daughter named Sanaa. Sanjay is currently pursuing his general aviation private pilot license.
